Offering up to 15+ stops of dynamic range and Sony's S-Cinetone gamma for filmlike skin tones, along with 10-bit, 4:2:2 XAVC-I recording, the FX6 is ideal for supplementing your FX9 or VENICE capture or for solo documentary, gimbal, and drone shoots.
Single Operator Design
The Sony FX6 Full-Frame Cinema Camera (Body Only) is designed for seamless integration into a professional cine workflow with its lightweight 2 lb body, which is significantly lighter than the FX9. Despite its compact size of 6 x 4.6", the FX6 still houses a full-frame sensor, comparable to the S35-sensor Sony FS5. With features such as phase-detection autofocus, Face Detection, real-time Eye autofocus, and both auto and manual ND filter settings, the FX6 is ideal for single-operator users. The 3.5" LCD monitor also offers touchscreen access to menu settings and can be easily positioned for comfortable operation. Additionally, firmware update v1.10 improves overall stability and adds 100p and 120p options to the Slow and Quick Motion frame rate menu for RAW and RAW/XAVC-I codecs.
4K Full-Frame Exmor R Sensor
With the Sony FX6 Full-Frame Cinema Camera, you can capture stunning 4K footage even in low-light settings. The 10.2MP back-illuminated sensor and BIONX XR engine provide enhanced sensitivity and autofocus capabilities, while the fast scan speed reduces rolling shutter effects. Plus, the full-frame lens compatibility creates a cinematic look.
