When compared to VISION3, VERITA 200D has an engaging and shorter, but exceptionally rich, dynamic range , offering classically cinematic results with beautifully warm skin tones, higher color saturation, and deep blacks. It incorporates Kodak's proprietary advanced Dye Layering technology with an anti-halation undercoat and process surviving anti-stat backing layer designed to reduce dust accumulation.
Developed in close collaboration with writer, director and producer Sam Levinson and cinematographer Marcell Rév, HCA, ASC, KODAK VERITA 200D was commercialized in motion picture format to achieve a distinct visual aesthetic for the third season of HBO's original drama series Euphoria. The stock has also been selectively trade‑tested by cinematographers worldwide over several years. This item is one 100' roll of 16mm color negative movie film for processing in ECN-2 chemistry. It is perforated on one edge (Winding B) and wound on an R-90 spool for in-camera use, making optical prints, or bidirectional printing.
