The Hasselblad X2D II 100C is a medium format mirrorless camera built for photographers who demand both technical precision and real-world usability. It's a meaningful step forward from the original X2D, with faster autofocus, stronger stabilization, and Hasselblad's new HDR system that actually delivers on the promise of capturing detail in both shadows and highlights.

At its core is a 100MP BSI CMOS sensor with 15.3 stops of dynamic range and native ISO 50–25600. That range matters: you get clean detail in dim light without pushing noise, and you can expose for the sky without losing the ground. The sensor handles 3 fps continuous shooting, which is practical for editorial work and situations where you need a few frames to nail the moment.

The autofocus is genuinely improved. A 425-point phase-detection system, new LiDAR sensor, and AF illuminator make focusing faster and more reliable across lighting conditions. The new AF-C mode with subject tracking (people, vehicles, animals) is the first continuous autofocus in a Hasselblad body—useful if you're moving away from purely static subjects.

Image stabilization is now 10 stops (5-axis), eight times more effective than the previous generation. That means you can hand-hold at shutter speeds that would normally require a tripod, which opens up shooting scenarios without adding weight.

The HNCS HDR system is the standout feature. It captures and processes HDR in-camera as HEIF or Ultra HDR JPEG, with Hasselblad's color science baked in. The P3 color gamut gives you up to 4 stops of additional dynamic range in post-processing—real recovery in the highlights and shadows, not just tone mapping.

The body itself is refined: graphite gray finish, lighter by 7.5%, better grip, and a redesigned OLED screen that tilts more flexibly. The 3.6" display is bright (1400 nits) and accurate for HDR work. A new 5D joystick and custom buttons speed up navigation and focus point selection.

Storage is generous: 1TB internal SSD holds 50,000+ HEIF files, or use the CFexpress Type B slot for flexibility. USB-C 3.1 handles fast data transfer and in-camera charging. XCD lenses pair seamlessly with leaf shutters for flash sync at all speeds. You can also adapt H-series and X-Pan lenses with an optional adapter and use the electronic shutter up to 1/6000 sec.

Phocus Mobile 2 ties the workflow together, letting you transfer, edit, and manage HDR files on iPhone or iPad at 40 MB/s wirelessly. This is a camera for professionals and serious enthusiasts who value color accuracy, dynamic range, and the ability to work efficiently in the field without compromise.
