The Canon RF 100mm f/2.8 L Macro IS USM is a full-frame RF-mount macro lens built for close-up work, portraits, and detailed product photography. Its 100mm focal length, bright f/2.8 aperture, and 1.4x maximum magnification give you plenty of flexibility for both macro and everyday telephoto shooting.
Macro and Portrait Performance
With a minimum focusing distance of 10.2", the lens can capture small subjects at up to 1.4x magnification. The 100mm focal length also works well for portraits, giving you comfortable working distance and natural subject separation.
A Spherical Aberration Control Ring lets you adjust the character of foreground and background blur, making it possible to create a softer, more diffused look when desired.
Fast Autofocus and Stabilization
Dual Nano USM autofocus provides quick, smooth, and quiet focusing for both stills and video. Optical image stabilization offers up to 5 stops of shake correction, while compatible EOS R bodies can provide up to 8 stops through coordinated lens and in-body stabilization.
Hybrid IS also helps correct both angular and shift movement, which is especially useful when shooting close-up subjects handheld.
Optical Quality and Build
Canon’s Super Spectra coating helps reduce flare and ghosting in bright or backlit conditions. The lens also includes a customizable control ring for quick setting adjustments and a dust- and moisture-resistant design for use in changing conditions.
An optional rotating tripod collar can be added for more comfortable use on a tripod or monopod.
