FPP Low ASA 6 ISO Black & White 35mm Film

FPP Low ASA 6 is an ultra-low-speed black and white film made from Kodak fine-grain stock. It delivers exceptionally fine grain, outstanding sharpness, and impressive detail, making it a great choice for bright outdoor scenes, architecture, landscapes, and controlled studio work.

What Makes It Different?

This blue-sensitive emulsion includes a temporary yellow dye that washes out during processing, helping produce crisp negatives with very high resolution. Since it is blue-sensitive, it performs best in daylight or with flash. Avoid tungsten lighting and yellow filters for the most accurate results.

Features

  • ISO 6 black and white negative film
  • 24 exposures on 35mm film
  • Extremely fine grain and high resolution
  • Blue-sensitive emulsion for daylight or flash photography
  • Develops in standard black and white chemistry
  • Compatible with home and commercial B&W processing

Metering Tips

Set your camera to ISO 6 whenever possible. If your camera doesn't support ISO 6, set it to ISO 25 and open your aperture by two full stops. A handheld light meter also works well for accurate exposures.

Processing & Handling

This film can be developed in common black and white developers such as Kodak D-76, HC-110, Ektol, and similar formulas. It can also be processed by most labs that offer traditional black and white development.

To avoid light piping, load the film in dim light and keep it in a light-tight bag during storage or transport. If refrigerated or frozen, store it in a sealed, light-tight container until you're ready to shoot.
