The Solarcan Pinhole Camera is made for capturing super long exposures that can last for months. Set it up and watch as it traces the sun’s journey across the sky day by day. With each sunrise shifting a bit higher or lower through the seasons, it draws a fresh path. Over time—weeks, months, or even years—a stunning solar artwork slowly emerges.
Experimental Camera
Inside the camera is a 5 x 7" piece of Ilford photographic paper. As light passes through the pinhole lens it gradually scorches the path the sun is taking through the sky onto the paper. After a few months, you simply remove the photographic paper from inside and invert the colors with a scanner to see your final image.
