If you have accidentally wound a film all the way back into its canister before it is finished, this useful tool will help you safely retrieve the film leader from the cassette. Simple and lightweight, the AP Film Retriever is an essential tool to carry around whenever you are out in the field. It also comes in handy when processing your own film, enabling you to pull out an exposed film (in darkness) without having to crack open the canister.
Retrieving the film with this tool doesn’t always work on the first attempt. Please follow the included instructions and allow yourself some time to practice until you find the right way to pull the film leader out of the cassette.
